📋 Description

• • Drive strategic impact as a Senior Commercial Insurance Analyst for Mobilitas, the tech-forward commercial-insurance arm of CSAA Insurance Group. You will sit at the intersection of data, risk, and mobility innovation, translating complex commercial-insurance data into clear, profitable actions that protect the future of transportation.
• • Own end-to-end analytical projects that span pricing adequacy, loss-reserve adequacy, portfolio profitability, and emerging-risk exposure for commercial auto, rideshare, gig-economy, and last-mile delivery segments. Your insights will directly influence rate filings, reinsurance negotiations, and product-feature roadmaps.
• • Design and execute advanced statistical studies—root-cause analysis, cost-benefit modeling, loss-forecasting, and scenario simulation—using SQL, SAS, Python, R, and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau. You will build reproducible code libraries and automated dashboards that democratize data across underwriting, claims, actuarial, and finance teams.
• • Partner with Product, Underwriting, Claims, and IT leaders to define business questions, scope analytical approaches, and translate findings into policy-wording changes, underwriting-rule enhancements, and digital-platform improvements. You will serve as the go-to subject-matter expert for data definitions, business rules, and metric logic.
• • Lead large, cross-functional initiatives (e.g., telematics-based pricing, dynamic fleet coverage, or climate-driven peril modeling) from ideation through implementation. You will set timelines, manage stakeholder expectations, and mentor junior analysts to ensure deliverables meet quality, regulatory, and commercial standards.
• • Present actionable recommendations to senior executives and external partners (regulators, reinsurers, and distribution channels) via compelling narratives, visual storytelling, and formal rate-filing documentation. Your communication will turn numbers into decisions that shape millions of dollars in premium and reserves.
• • Champion a data-first culture by creating and maintaining authoritative business-intelligence artifacts—data dictionaries, metric glossaries, and analytic playbooks. You will conduct training sessions and lunch-and-learns to upskill colleagues and embed evidence-based decision-making across the organization.
• • Collaborate with IT and Data Engineering to specify data-architecture requirements, validate ETL pipelines, and perform rigorous User Acceptance Testing on new data products. You will ensure data integrity, lineage, and governance standards are upheld for all commercial-insurance data assets.
• • Provide mentorship, coaching, and constructive feedback to junior analysts and rotational associates. You will set performance goals, review code, and foster an inclusive environment where diverse perspectives drive better analytical outcomes.
• • Continuously scan the external environment—regulatory changes, competitor filings, insurtech innovations, and macroeconomic trends—to anticipate emerging risks and opportunities. You will translate these insights into proactive recommendations that keep Mobilitas ahead of the market.
