  • • To support this growth and further enhance its 3D dental platform, Dandy is building a world-class Machine Learning and Computer Vision team. This team will focus on automating numerous human-driven processes within the manufacturing workflow. The role of a Senior Computer Vision/Machine Learning Engineer II is pivotal in this endeavor, contributing to a global, remote team that addresses complex challenges in 3D geometric computer vision, generative deep learning, and state-of-the-art machine learning methodologies. As a foundational member of this newly formed team, you will be instrumental in establishing best practices, tackling unprecedented and ambiguous data problems with significant industry-wide implications, and will be granted the autonomy to drive innovation.
  • • Your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass a wide range of advanced technical tasks. You will be tasked with developing sophisticated Computer Vision models designed to accurately extract structural information from unstructured, information-dense 3D scans, a critical step in automating dental appliance design and manufacturing. A significant part of your role will involve researching and implementing state-of-the-art (SOTA) methods for both 3D generative AI tasks and conventional computer vision challenges, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in this domain. You will collaborate closely with product and research teams to pinpoint areas for enhancement within our existing product lines and to enable the development of future product offerings, ensuring that our technological advancements directly align with market needs and strategic goals.
  • • Furthermore, you will work extensively with massive datasets, developing both general-purpose models and fine-tuning existing ones for highly specific applications, ensuring optimal performance and accuracy across diverse use cases. A crucial aspect of your work will be the development of robust evaluation methodologies that enable the team to establish high confidence in the integrity and reliability of our datasets and the performance of our models. You will also be responsible for implementing and maintaining best practices for our MLOps pipelines, ensuring efficient deployment, monitoring, and management of machine learning models in production environments. Finally, you will engage in close collaboration with product owners within a feature-focused team structure, prioritizing the rapid delivery of tangible value to Dandy’s customers, ensuring that our technological innovations translate into real-world benefits.
