- • Senior Consultant - Datacom role focused on providing expert-level technical support and strategic guidance for Broadcom’s Datacom and DBMS environments, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability of mission-critical systems.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include installing, configuring, and supporting CA IDMS systems; administering Datacom environments; performing performance analysis and troubleshooting; conducting diagnostic assessments; assisting application developers with data manipulation; ensuring data integrity and dictionary security; designing logical and physical databases; executing backup and recovery procedures; and creating data structure diagrams.
- • Part of Broadcom’s enterprise infrastructure team, supporting clients and internal stakeholders with deep expertise in legacy and modern mainframe-based DBMS technologies, particularly within the z/OS ecosystem.
- • Opportunity to deepen mastery of Datacom systems, influence architectural decisions, mentor junior staff, and contribute to high-availability enterprise solutions while working remotely with occasional client site travel.
🎯 Requirements
- • 84 months (7+ years) of experience in CA Datacom database administration and maintenance
- • 60+ months (5+ years) of experience with Datacom system patching and maintenance
- • Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of related experience, or Master’s degree and 6+ years of related experience
- • Ability to travel to client sites as required
- • Strong written communication skills for documenting technical processes, status updates, and knowledge transfer
