- • As a Senior Consultant in OpenShift Infrastructure and Virtualization at Red Hat, you will specialize in designing and implementing automated container platforms and cloud-ready application architectures, playing a key role in helping enterprise customers modernize their IT infrastructure using Red Hat OpenShift and related virtualization technologies.
- • Day to day, you will implement automated, containerized cloud application platforms with focus on networking, storage, virtualization, security, logging, monitoring, and high availability; travel frequently to customer sites across North America to collaborate on solution delivery; engage in continuous learning through intensive training on Kubernetes, OpenShift, DevOps, and GitOps; and provide technical leadership by mentoring other consultants and contributing best practices to internal and external communities of practice.
- • You will join Red Hat Consulting, a globally recognized team supporting over 90% of Fortune 500 companies, where you’ll work with leading financial services, retail, telecommunication, and institutional clients to deliver strategic, scalable container platform solutions in complex enterprise environments.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in hybrid cloud infrastructure, gain hands-on experience with large-scale OpenShift deployments, develop consulting and advisory skills for senior IT and business leaders, and grow as a technical leader in the open source ecosystem through knowledge sharing and community contribution.
🎯 Requirements
- • Associates or Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or a technical discipline
- • Experience leading successful modern cloud platform consulting engagements with a track record of advising senior IT and business executives
- • Broad and deep technical experience with VMware ESXi, vCenter, VM lifecycle operations, and expert-level knowledge of VMware networking (vSwitch/NSX) and storage (Datastores, vSAN, vVols)
- • Experience with logging and alerting functions from VMware and integration with enterprise systems like Splunk
- • Applied knowledge and experience working in agile, scrum, and DevOps teams
- • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills
- • Willingness to travel to customer locations approximately 30-40 weeks per year across North America
