- • Define and own Filigran’s core editorial narrative and thought leadership strategy in open-source cybersecurity, positioning the company and its experts as authoritative, opinionated, and trusted voices in threat intelligence and proactive cyber defense.
- • Build and manage Filigran’s editorial calendar to ensure consistent, purposeful content output aligned with brand positioning, product roadmap, and go-to-market priorities.
- • Write distinctive, high-impact content across multiple formats including long-form blog posts, thought leadership articles, white papers, executive bylines, product narratives, case studies, press materials, and newsletters, tailored for audiences ranging from SOC analysts to CISOs.
- • Edit and refine content from internal contributors—engineers, product experts, and executives—preserving their authentic voice while elevating clarity, structure, and impact without introducing fluff, jargon, or FUD.
- • Maintain and enforce Filigran’s brand style guide and editorial standards across all public-facing content, serving as the final quality control checkpoint before publication.
- • Repurpose and adapt core content into diverse formats such as checklists, infographics, cheat sheets, and short-form videos to maximize reach and engagement across owned channels.
- • Strategically distribute content via social media platforms to amplify reach, build audience engagement, and maintain a consistent brand voice, tracking performance metrics and iterating based on data-driven insights.
- • Collaborate closely with the PR team to secure earned media coverage and position Filigran’s perspectives in industry publications, avoiding generic cybersecurity listicles or SEO-driven content.
- • Work in close alignment with the Brand & Communications Director, Product, Go-to-Market, and Leadership teams to surface high-potential ideas and shape how they are communicated to the market.
- • Own and curate Filigran’s blog as the central hub for thought leadership, coordinating with technical and marketing teams to ensure narratives elevate the company’s visibility and credibility.
- • Leverage AI tools to optimize workflow efficiency and editorial productivity, but never as a substitute for original, human-driven storytelling.
- • Operate autonomously in a remote-first, async environment with a high degree of ownership over content strategy, execution, and performance evaluation.
- • Avoid demand generation tasks such as landing page copy or campaign emails; focus exclusively on narrative-driven, audience-engaging content that generates demand organically.
- • Do not manage community relationships—this is the sole responsibility of the Community Experience Manager; your role is to create content that informs and influences the community, not to moderate or engage in direct community management.
- • Stay informed on platform dynamics and content trends in cybersecurity and open-source spaces without chasing every viral trend, prioritizing substance and authenticity over fleeting engagement.
- • Use data to understand what content resonates, repurposing top-performing pieces for different audiences and channels to extract maximum value from each initiative.
