- • As a Senior Controls Engineer at Dandy Technology, you will play a pivotal role in modernizing the $200B dental industry by leading software development for next-generation Special Purpose Machines (SPMs) that manufacture custom prosthetics, directly enabling scalable, high-precision production at the forefront of dental innovation.
- • You will drive the end-to-end lifecycle of manufacturing equipment—from proof-of-concept to high-volume production—by collaborating with internal engineering teams and third-party integrators to build, commission, ramp, and optimize SCADA and PLC systems across multiple sites, ensuring reliability, observability, and seamless integration.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include hands-on work with full-scale production equipment, implementing standardized software platforms for testing and release, troubleshooting machine software in real-world environments, and translating technical requirements into robust, maintainable control systems that support Dandy’s rapid global expansion.
- • You will partner broadly across technical teams—including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers—to align machine behavior with manufacturing goals, contribute to cross-functional problem-solving, and help establish best practices for industrial automation in a high-growth, fast-moving startup environment.
- • Dandy’s EPD Manufacturing team is building the operating system for dental offices worldwide, and your expertise will directly empower clinicians with better tools, faster turnaround, and higher-quality outcomes—turning cutting-edge technology into tangible improvements for dental practices, their teams, and patients.
- • In this role, you will deepen your mastery of industrial control systems, gain end-to-end ownership of machine software lifecycles in a regulated, precision-driven industry, and emerge as a leader in bridging software innovation with physical manufacturing—positioning yourself at the intersection of Industry 4.0 and healthcare technology.
🎯 Requirements
- • 4+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in a high-growth startup environment
- • Substantial experience in manufacturing software, including SCADA systems (ideally Ignition) and PLC programming
- • Self-motivated and self-managing with excellent communication and organizational skills
