We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Counsel, Litigation to join our dynamic and growing team in San Francisco, CA.
- • This pivotal role is integral to supporting OpenAI's global intellectual property litigation, dispute resolution, and critical regulatory matters. You will be a key player in a highly cross-functional environment, collaborating closely with our Legal, Communications, Global Affairs, and Executive teams. Reporting directly to our Associate General Counsel, you will have the opportunity to tackle unique and significant legal challenges at the intersection of AI and law.
- • As a Senior Counsel, Litigation, your responsibilities will be broad and impactful. You will be tasked with providing expert legal advice and counsel on a diverse array of global litigation and regulatory issues. This includes, but is not limited to, managing complex commercial disputes, spearheading intellectual property litigation encompassing copyright and trademark matters, and navigating intricate regulatory investigations and enforcement actions. Your strategic insights and hands-on management will be crucial in guiding the company through these critical legal challenges.
- • A significant aspect of this role involves the meticulous management and oversight of outside counsel. You will be responsible for directing all facets of litigation and regulatory proceedings, from the critical stages of discovery and motion practice to the complexities of trial preparation and the delicate art of settlement negotiations. Ensuring that our external legal partners operate with the highest standards of efficiency and effectiveness will be paramount.
