- • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior CRM Designer to join our dynamic in-house Creative Studio at Butternut Box. This is a pivotal senior design role, focused on shaping and elevating the visual identity of Butternut across all email communications for millions of dog parents across our international markets.
- • You will be an integral part of the Creative Studio, collaborating closely with talented designers and copywriters, and working hand-in-hand with marketing and product teams. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver beautifully crafted, highly effective, and scalable customer communications that not only engage but also drive significant conversion.
- • Butternut has recently undergone an exciting brand refresh, and this role is crucial in bringing this new visual identity to life across email for our three key customer segments: prospective leads, loyal existing customers, and valued paused customers. You will be tasked with balancing standout, memorable creative with essential clarity, unwavering consistency, and measurable performance, ensuring every email sent is both aesthetically pleasing and achieves its commercial objectives.

- • As our Senior CRM Designer, your core mission will be to define and elevate Butternut's presence across all CRM touchpoints. You will work in close partnership with our dedicated CRM team to deliver world-class, scalable email design solutions that foster brand loyalty and drive measurable business results.
- • CRM Design & Delivery:
- • Conceptualise and design high-quality email creative that spans the entire customer lifecycle, catering to leads, existing customers, and paused customers across multiple international markets.
- • Develop visually compelling emails that artfully blend brand storytelling with essential clarity, user-friendly design, and performance-driven elements.
- • Collaborate intimately with CRM Managers and copywriters from the initial brief through to final delivery, actively contributing to the shaping of clear, effective creative responses that align perfectly with campaign goals and overarching commercial objectives.
- • Proactively challenge existing norms by critically interrogating briefs, posing insightful questions, and advocating for clearer, more defined objectives to ensure that all creative output delivers the maximum possible impact.
- • Brand & Systems:
- • Meticulously embed and champion Butternut’s refreshed brand identity across all CRM touchpoints, ensuring a cohesive and impactful brand experience.
- • Serve as a dedicated brand guardian for email communications, upholding the highest standards of consistency in look, feel, and tone across all outputs.
- • Design, build, and continuously evolve a suite of global email templates, reusable modules, and a comprehensive design system that facilitates speed, maintains quality, and supports global scalability.
- • Collaboration & Performance:
- • Forge strong partnerships with the CRM team, sharing co-responsibility for email performance and acting as a key commercial stakeholder, with a keen focus on critical metrics such as Click-Through Rate (CTR) and conversion rates.
- • Proactively identify opportunities and design A/B tests, formulating creative hypotheses to unlock growth and systematically improve performance across the entire customer funnel.
- • Leverage performance insights and data analytics to inform and refine future creative decisions, engaging in a cycle of continuous iteration to ensure ongoing improvement and optimization of designs.
- • Collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and regional departments, to ensure the successful delivery of CRM creative assets across diverse international markets.
- • Maintain an active and engaged interest in CRM roadmaps and strategic goals, ensuring that all creative initiatives directly support and contribute to wider commercial priorities.
- • Craft & Leadership:
- • Deliver high-quality work independently while actively contributing to and fostering a positive, high-performing culture within the Creative Studio.
- • Share expertise, elevate the standard of CRM design craft across the team, and provide mentorship and support to junior designers.
- • Efficiently manage multiple projects and competing deadlines, maintaining an exceptionally strong eye for detail throughout all stages of work.
