- • DTN is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Customer Marketing Manager to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing customer marketing strategies designed to foster deep engagement, drive product adoption, enhance retention, and cultivate a strong base of customer advocates across DTN's comprehensive suite of solutions. Our offerings span critical sectors such as agriculture, energy, and weather intelligence, providing businesses with the insights needed to navigate complexity and uncertainty with confidence. You will leverage our proprietary Operational Decisioning Platform, which transforms raw data into actionable intelligence, enabling companies to optimize supply chains, ensure market stability, and protect vital infrastructure.
- • As a Senior Customer Marketing Manager, your primary responsibility will be to develop and lead customer marketing initiatives that directly impact key business objectives. This includes architecting and implementing customer advocacy programs that highlight the success and value our clients derive from DTN's solutions. You will work closely with our Customer Success and Sales teams to identify and nurture potential advocates, transforming satisfied customers into powerful storytellers who can articulate the tangible benefits of our products.
- • A significant part of your role will involve managing the customer lifecycle marketing efforts. This means creating and executing targeted campaigns and programs that guide customers from onboarding through to advanced adoption and expansion. You will focus on driving the adoption of key platforms and features, ensuring our clients are maximizing the value they receive from their investment in DTN. This includes developing strategies to increase engagement with our Weather and Ag Hub solutions, making them indispensable tools for their operations.
- • You will also play a crucial role in customer engagement and community building. This involves fostering a sense of community among our diverse customer base, encouraging knowledge sharing, and creating platforms for interaction. By building a vibrant customer community, we can enhance loyalty, gather valuable feedback, and create a network effect that benefits all stakeholders.
- • Retention and fostering a strong understanding of customer value will be paramount. You will develop strategies to demonstrate ongoing value, address potential churn risks proactively, and ensure customers feel supported and informed. This includes developing content and programs that reinforce the benefits of our solutions and highlight new features and capabilities.
- • Furthermore, you will be responsible for gathering and analyzing customer insights to continuously optimize our marketing efforts. This involves tracking key metrics related to adoption, retention, advocacy, and engagement, and using this data to refine strategies and demonstrate the ROI of customer marketing initiatives. Reporting on these insights to key stakeholders will be a critical component of your success.
- • Success in this role will be measured by the creation of a scalable advocacy pipeline featuring DTN customers from global agriculture, energy, and weather-sensitive industries. You will be expected to drive increased adoption of key platforms and features within the first 30-90 days of customer engagement, and contribute to improved renewal rates through robust onboarding and value demonstration. Growing community engagement through industry-specific content and events, and demonstrating a quantifiable impact on expansion and pipeline acceleration will also be key indicators of your effectiveness.
- • This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in B2B SaaS customer marketing, advocacy, or lifecycle marketing. You should possess a strong understanding of marketing analytics and be adept at translating complex, data-driven use cases into compelling narratives. Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills are essential, as you will work closely with Product Marketing, Sales, and Product teams to align strategies and execute programs effectively. Experience with marketing automation platforms like Marketo or HubSpot, CRM systems such as Salesforce, and analytics tools like Gong will be highly beneficial. An experimental mindset, including the exploration and application of AI marketing tools and chatbots, is also encouraged.
- • While not strictly required, experience in sectors like weather intelligence, ag tech, commodity energy markets, or operational decision-support solutions would be a significant advantage. Similarly, experience managing customer advisory boards, developing customer stories and case studies, or leading vertical-specific customer user groups or councils would further strengthen your candidacy. A deep understanding of how enterprises utilize data for forecasting, operational planning, and risk mitigation is also highly desirable, as it will enable you to better connect DTN's solutions to customer needs.
