- • Automate data transformation pipelines using SQL, dbt, CI/CD, GitHub, and Google Cloud to deliver data products to enterprise insurance partners.
- • Design and build intuitive data visualizations using Tableau and other BI tools to enable enterprise partners to understand their business metrics and trust their data.
- • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and stakeholder teams to translate business requirements into technical data solutions.
- • Develop and implement data governance best practices to enhance data quality, consistency, and control across partner and internal systems.
- • Construct automated data validation checks and unit tests to detect and prevent data quality issues before they impact downstream analytics and deliverables.
- • Maintain and monitor data pipelines through automated alerting systems and participate in an on-call rotation to ensure reliability and uptime.
- • Build deep subject matter expertise in the life insurance domain to proactively anticipate partner needs and improve solution relevance.
- • Share knowledge and cross-train other data analysts and engineers to foster team growth and shared ownership of data products.
- • Document data models, code changes, and system designs using GitHub, Jira, Confluence, and Lucidchart to ensure transparency and maintainability.
- • Leverage AI coding assistants within IDEs or agentic CLIs to accelerate development, improve code quality, and enhance productivity.
- • Reduce compute costs through optimization of SQL queries and data pipeline efficiency while maintaining performance and accuracy.
- • Communicate complex data insights clearly through slides, whitepapers, Jupyter notebooks, and dashboards to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- • Actively contribute to team decision-making, propose innovative ideas, and provide constructive feedback during code reviews and planning sessions.
- • Promote a positive, growth-oriented team culture by encouraging development, inclusivity, and psychological safety among peers.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or similar role
- • Advanced SQL skills with proficiency in BigQuery or similar cloud data warehouses
- • Strong experience with dbt and Airflow for data transformation and orchestration
- • Demonstrated ability to design data models and schema structures for enterprise-scale analytics
- • Proven track record of using data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Google DataStudio) to deliver actionable insights
- • Experience working within Agile SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, and version control via GitHub
