- • Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines using Python, Spark, and cloud-native tools to enable analytics and machine learning applications for enterprise clients.
- • Build and maintain modern data warehouses and data marts on BigQuery and Snowflake, applying Kimball data modeling techniques for efficient storage and retrieval of structured and semi-structured data.
- • Lead the migration of legacy business intelligence and data warehouse systems to Google Cloud Platform, ensuring seamless transition and minimal disruption to client operations.
- • Architect, configure, and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure on GCP to ensure high availability, performance, and security of data systems.
- • Implement data transformation workflows using dbt (data build tool) to automate testing, deployment, and documentation of data models with version control and CI/CD practices.
- • Collaborate closely with data scientists, BI analysts, and delivery managers to translate business requirements into technical data solutions that drive measurable client impact.
- • Write high-quality, tested, and well-documented code adhering to software engineering best practices including unit testing, code reviews, and modular design.
- • Utilize advanced SQL to construct performant analytical queries, differentiating between functional and optimized SQL for large-scale data processing.
- • Work in partnership with technology vendors including Google Cloud, Snowflake, dbt, Looker, Fivetran, and Sigma to leverage platform capabilities and stay current with product updates.
- • Contribute to agile project teams by participating in sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives while managing multiple client deliverables simultaneously.
- • Provide technical leadership by guiding junior engineers, reviewing architecture decisions, and mentoring team members on data engineering best practices.
- • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders, including executives and business users, to align data solutions with strategic goals.
- • Maintain up-to-date documentation of data models, pipeline dependencies, ETL processes, and infrastructure configurations to support knowledge sharing and system reliability.
- • Apply software engineering principles to analytics workflows, ensuring reproducibility, traceability, and maintainability of all data assets.
- • Proactively identify inefficiencies in existing data architectures and propose improvements that enhance scalability, cost-efficiency, and data quality.
🎯 Requirements
- • 4+ years in a data-related role (e.g., Data Engineer, Data Analyst, Analytics Engineer)
- • Hands-on experience with Looker, dbt, Snowflake, BigQuery, and Kimball data modeling
- • Expertise in Python and/or Java, with strong proficiency in SQL
- • 5+ years of experience designing and building scalable data solutions
- • Experience building and maintaining cloud infrastructure (GCP preferred)
- • Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical data architectures
