📋 Description

• Senior Data Engineer role at DailyPay, Inc., a worktech company transforming how people get paid through on-demand pay solutions, headquartered in NYC with hybrid work.
• Design and deliver end-to-end data models and pipelines that power critical business decisions, optimize performance and cost of high-volume data workflows, and translate business logic into clean, reusable datasets.
• Embedded within a distributed team collaborating with Data, Engineering, Product, and Finance colleagues to evolve platform architecture and deliver high-impact data products.
• Opportunity to lead code reviews, mentor peers, champion data engineering excellence, support architectural modernization from monolithic to microservices, innovate with AI, and participate in on-call rotations to strengthen system reliability.

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of professional experience in Data Engineering with hands-on delivery and end-to-end ownership of scalable data platforms
• Deep production-grade experience with Snowflake (strongly preferred) or comparable warehouses like BigQuery or Databricks
• Advanced SQL capabilities and extensive hands-on experience with dbt for data transformation, dimensional modeling, and quality checks
• Proven ability to mentor peers and contribute to a healthy, collaborative engineering culture
• History of taking projects from ambiguity to production, including CI/CD, automated testing, and ongoing data quality ownership
• Ability to articulate complex data concepts to both engineering peers and non-technical stakeholders
• Willingness to work with AI-assisted development tools and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs
