- • As a Senior Data Engineer on Cloudera’s Anywhere Cloud team, you will own the test strategy for designing, building, and executing custom data pipelines (Blue Prints) to validate Cloudera-certified data pipelines across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
- • Day to day, you will design and execute end-to-end test plans for cluster creation on Kubernetes, manage complex data modeling and schema drift, embed automated data quality checks and statistical anomaly detection into pipelines, and ensure governance policies like ABAC, column masking, and lineage ingestion are enforced at the data layer.
- • The Anywhere Cloud (AWC) team is building Cloudera’s next-generation unified control plane with an AI-First architecture, orchestrating Kubernetes infrastructures, foundational services (Service Mesh, Auth, Logging), and data engines like Spark, Trino, and Cloudera AI for top enterprises worldwide.
- • You will develop AI-enabled test automation frameworks, solve complex problems such as cross-cluster service discovery and zero-downtime upgrades, and directly impact the strategic direction of the AWC quality stack and platform reliability while working with significant autonomy.
🎯 Requirements
- • Expert-level proficiency in Python/Shell for scripting and automation
- • Hands-on understanding of modern compute and streaming engine internals like Spark, Kafka, Trino, Airflow
- • Understanding of Kubernetes internals (CRDs, Controllers, Operators, Namespaces) and ability to debug and test complex Helm chart deployments
- • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- • 8+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on test automation, infrastructure, or backend development
- • AI First Mindset: Ability to learn and develop AI enabled test automation frameworks
