- • Partner with Utilization Management and Care Management teams to streamline workflows and improve quality metrics, patient outcomes, and provider experience.
- • Translate complex statistical and epidemiologic analyses into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders to inform enterprise decision-making.
- • Design and execute analyses that balance statistical rigor, business feasibility, and ethical considerations to support clinical and operational strategies.
- • Apply statistical and epidemiologic methods to identify trends, variable associations, and causal drivers within healthcare datasets, including claims, clinical, and operational data.
- • Prepare clear, reproducible documentation of methodologies, assumptions, findings, and interpretations to ensure transparency and auditability.
- • Produce technical reports, quantitative summaries, and visualizations to support evidence-based clinical and operational initiatives.
- • Contribute to peer-reviewed publications and present analytical findings at industry conferences and internal forums.
- • Apply generative AI tools and evaluation approaches to identify high-value business use cases, assess technical feasibility, and implement responsible AI principles in research and operations.
- • Translate ambiguous business problems into testable analytical questions with clear hypotheses and measurable outcomes.
- • Design and implement experimental and quasi-experimental analyses, with deep understanding of methodological assumptions, confounding factors, and tradeoffs.
- • Support measurement efforts across project lifecycles, including feasibility pilots, outcomes studies, and full-scale implementation.
- • Communicate analytical results and underlying assumptions effectively to cross-functional teams including clinicians, operations, and leadership.
- • Travel as needed for training, meetings, or collaboration with team members at Humana offices.
- • Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by working in a dedicated, interruption-free home office space to protect member PHI.
- • Utilize high-speed internet (minimum 25 Mbps download / 10 Mbps upload) via DSL, cable, or approved alternatives for remote work.
🎯 Requirements
- • Master’s degree in statistics, epidemiology, mathematics, or a related field
- • 5 or more years of technical experience in statistical analysis, modeling, or data science
- • 2 or more years of experience leveraging generative AI tools, methods, and evaluation approaches in research, analytics, or operational settings
- • Expertise in designing and executing experimental and quasi-experimental analyses with understanding of methodological tradeoffs
- • Demonstrated ability to communicate analytical findings and assumptions to non-technical stakeholders
- • Ability to travel as needed
