- • The Core Analytics Team is a centralized function dedicated to providing data-driven insights to drive business and product success.
- • The team works closely with Product, Engineering, and Marketing teams to deliver exceptional experiences to customers while maximizing the value proposition for the business.
- • The Senior Data Scientist will leverage data analytics to support and improve the Home screen and discovery products, influencing the look and feel of the most visible parts of the Roku platform.
- • The role involves analyzing structured and unstructured data, communicating insights to stakeholders, and making data-driven decisions.
- • The Senior Data Scientist will advise on key product development strategy decisions, develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations, and collaborate with stakeholders to align data science initiatives with organizational goals and strategy.
- • The role requires proficiency in SQL, SAS, R, Python, or other programming languages for querying data and performing analysis.
- • The Senior Data Scientist will work closely with product management and engineering to identify opportunities to create new features, drive their adoption, and generate value for Roku.
- • The role involves performing exploratory data analysis on emerging trends and executing advanced analysis across the Roku platform.
- • The Senior Data Scientist will provide data-driven recommendations directly to leadership on performance of various initiatives and untapped opportunities.
🎯 Requirements
- • 4+ years of professional experience with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Business Analytics, Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, or Computer Science.
- • 4+ years of experience in product analytics, with preference for experience supporting platforms in the media and entertainment space.
- • Proficiency in SQL, SAS, R, Python, or other programming languages for querying data and performing analysis.
