• • Senior Database Platform Engineer role focused on operating and evolving shared data systems that support other engineering teams at Kraken, a mission-driven cryptocurrency exchange committed to global financial inclusion through blockchain technology.
• • Day-to-day responsibilities include owning reliability, performance, and security of systems like MariaDB, Kafka, Redis, and Elasticsearch; building automation and self-service tools; improving observability and incident response; and collaborating with internal teams on data access patterns and schema evolution.
• • The Core Infrastructure – Data Systems team operates with a high operational bar, providing foundational data platforms that enable safe, scalable service delivery across the company, working closely with internal customers to anticipate needs.
