📋 Description

• Senior Developer - Backend/Search - CD+E (493) is a hands-on DevOps Engineer role focused on modernizing legacy CI/CD pipelines and building scalable, automated delivery systems for a U.S.-based software product company through Ubiminds Talent Solutions LLC. This role directly impacts engineering velocity by transforming outdated, manual build processes into reliable, observable, and efficient workflows that enable faster, safer software releases.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing and assessing legacy CI/CD pipelines to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and manual processes; designing and implementing modern CI/CD pipelines with automated testing, security checks, and optimized deployments using tools like GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps; migrating infrastructure and build processes to Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with AWS CloudFormation (required) and/or Terraform; defining and standardizing "golden paths" for build and deployment workflows across environments; improving pipeline observability through logging, monitoring, and alerting for fast, actionable feedback; collaborating closely with engineering teams to enhance build reliability and deployment confidence; owning CI/CD improvements end-to-end from design through production rollout; and proactively contributing to DevOps practices, tooling, and engineering efficiency.
• The team is a distributed, international engineering group with a strong ownership culture where engineers drive solutions end to end, focused on modernization, automation, and developer experience, offering high autonomy to propose and implement improvements in a collaborative environment that directly impacts engineering velocity.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in modern DevOps practices, gain advanced experience with AWS CloudFormation and container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes), strengthen your scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash, and C#, and become a trusted advisor in CI/CD modernization — positioning yourself as a platform engineering leader capable of transforming legacy systems into high-performance delivery engines.

🎯 Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering
• Proven experience modernizing or migrating legacy CI/CD pipelines
• Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps)
• Solid experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, and C#
• Strong coding experience with Python and C#
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code using AWS CloudFormation (required) and/or Terraform
• Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts, build optimization, and deployment strategies
• Experience working with legacy systems (custom scripts, XML configurations, manual processes)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• Clear and confident English communication skills
