📋 Description

• As a Senior Developer on the Endpoint Agent team at 1Password, you will play a critical role in securing digital identities by building and enhancing the device-resident agent that runs on macOS, Windows, and Linux, ensuring secure, reliable, and observable enterprise deployment at scale.
• Day to day, you will design and develop low-level system software, including background services and daemons, implement secure client-server communication, improve installation and update mechanisms, and collaborate on platform-wide contracts that enable seamless integration with 1Password’s broader security ecosystem.
• You’ll join a skilled, remote-first team within a cybersecurity leader trusted by over 180,000 businesses, where innovation in Extended Access Management is redefining how organizations secure identities in an AI-driven world.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in systems programming, security-hardened development, and cross-platform agent architecture, while gaining ownership of foundational platform components and the opportunity to lead impactful technical initiatives across a rapidly growing security platform.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience developing system-level or device-resident software for macOS or Windows
• Strong proficiency in Go and experience building background services (e.g., Windows Services, macOS launchd)
• Solid understanding of OS concepts including file systems, permissions, process lifecycle, and privilege boundaries
• Passion for and experience with security development best practices, coding standards, and design patterns
• Experience working in a remote-first or distributed team environment with strong self-direction and communication skills
