- • As a Senior DevOps / DevEx Engineer at RevenueCat, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the internal development platform that empowers over 120 engineers across 25 countries to ship software safely, quickly, and with confidence. Your work will directly impact the productivity and experience of the entire engineering organization by building the tools, automation, and abstractions that eliminate toil and enable self-service at scale.
- • You will design, build, and maintain internal platforms and services—including CI/CD pipelines, feature flag systems, infrastructure-as-code (IaC) frameworks, access control workflows, and observability tooling—using Pulumi, Python, AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker to create a cohesive, secure, and developer-friendly ecosystem.
- • You will champion a self-serve culture by creating intuitive, joyful-to-use tools that encourage adoption through simplicity and reliability, ensuring that best practices are followed not by mandate, but because they are the easiest path forward.
- • You will help prepare the engineering organization for the future of AI-augmented development by evaluating, integrating, and guiding the safe adoption of LLMs and AI coding tools, establishing guardrails and patterns that maintain security, quality, and architectural integrity.
- • You will collaborate closely with product, backend, frontend, and mobile engineers to understand their pain points, co-design solutions, and iterate rapidly based on feedback, acting as a force multiplier for team velocity and innovation.
- • You will participate in and eventually lead on-call rotations, incident response, and post-mortems, contributing to a culture of ownership, resilience, and continuous improvement in system reliability.
- • You will mentor and uplift fellow engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge sharing, helping to raise the technical bar across the organization while fostering a psychologically safe and inclusive environment.
- • You will drive strategic initiatives that improve developer experience—such as reducing mean time to recovery, increasing deployment frequency, or cutting down on manual toil—by identifying high-leverage opportunities and delivering measurable impact.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, DevEx, or Platform Engineering with a strong emphasis on software development and automation
- • Proven experience building internal tools, platforms, or frameworks using infrastructure-as-code (Pulumi, Terraform, or similar), Python, AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker
- • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify problems, take ownership, and deliver elegant, scalable solutions that improve developer productivity and system reliability
