đź“‹ Description
- • As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Zipline, you will play a hands-on role in operating and improving the company’s cloud infrastructure, CI/CD systems, and production reliability, ensuring the platform remains secure, scalable, and observable for product engineering teams.
- • You will partner with product and platform engineering teams to enhance system reliability, scalability, and developer experience; build and maintain CI/CD pipelines; improve observability through monitoring, alerting, logging, and telemetry; and manage infrastructure via Terraform on AWS, with exposure to GCP and Azure.
- • You will operate and scale containerized workloads using Kubernetes and Docker, support data and ML infrastructure on GCP, participate in on-call rotations, contribute to incident postmortems, and collaborate with Rails-focused teams to improve deployment workflows and system performance.
- • Zipline is a fully remote, mission-driven SaaS company transforming how frontline teams work across retail, healthcare, logistics, and beyond, with a strong focus on innovation, reliability, and employee well-being through transparent compensation, continuous learning, and a culture of inclusion and impact.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in cloud operations, infrastructure as code, and site reliability engineering while gaining ownership over critical systems, contributing to high-impact projects, and growing into broader system ownership within a collaborative, globally distributed team.

- • Production experience operating and supporting cloud-based systems
- • Proficiency with at least one programming or scripting language (Ruby preferred; TypeScript/JavaScript a plus)
- • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Pulumi, or similar)
- • Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS)
- • Working knowledge of observability practices and tools (Datadog, Sentry, Prometheus, etc.)
- • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, service-oriented mindset

- • Stock Options: Meaningful ownership in a fast-growing, venture-backed company
- • Generous time off: Flexible policy, monthly coffee stipend, and a fully paid one-month sabbatical after five years
- • World-class medical, dental, and vision benefits
- • Annual company off-sites and quarterly paid volunteer days
- • Unlimited access to Udemy Business for continuous learning
- • Inclusive, supportive workplace with global team retreats and regular social connection
