📋 Description

• As a Senior DevSecOps Consultant at Trility Consulting LLC, you will play a critical role in securing and scaling a modern data platform on AWS, ensuring that infrastructure is resilient, compliant, and optimized for performance so that data teams can deliver insights without interruption. Your work will directly impact the reliability and trustworthiness of client data systems, enabling faster, safer decision-making across industries.
• You will design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable infrastructure using AWS services, Kubernetes, and Terraform, applying Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles to automate provisioning, configuration, and management of cloud resources while embedding security controls throughout the lifecycle.
• You will collaborate closely with data engineering, platform, and application teams to integrate security practices into CI/CD pipelines, conduct vulnerability assessments, manage secrets and identity access (IAM), and ensure compliance with industry standards such as SOC 2, HIPAA, or GDPR as required by client environments.
• You will monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Kubernetes-based workloads and data platform components (e.g., Spark, Airflow, Kafka, or similar) to ensure high availability, performance, and cost efficiency, using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or AWS CloudWatch.
• You will lead security hardening efforts including network segmentation, pod security policies, runtime protection, and image scanning, while advising teams on secure configuration baselines and threat modeling for cloud-native data workloads.
• You will document architectures, runbooks, and security procedures, and mentor junior engineers and client teams on DevSecOps best practices, fostering a culture of shared responsibility for security and reliability.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda, CloudFormation, or CDK) in production environments
• Proven expertise in designing and managing Kubernetes clusters (EKS, self-managed, or similar) including Helm, RBAC, network policies, and monitoring integrations
• Strong proficiency with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code, including module design, state management, and integration with CI/CD pipelines
• Demonstrated experience implementing security controls in cloud environments: IAM least privilege, secrets management (HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager), vulnerability scanning, and compliance frameworks
• Experience working with data platform technologies such as Apache Spark, Kafka, Airflow, or similar, and understanding their infrastructure and security implications
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and work effectively in distributed, remote teams
