📋 Description

• As a Senior DevSecOps Engineer at Humana Inc., you will play a pivotal role in securing the enterprise software supply chain by architecting and modernizing the Run and Release platform — the centralized source of truth for application security posture — ensuring secure, compliant, and efficient software delivery across the organization.
• You will drive innovation in deployment gating, reduce technical debt, and enhance developer experience by building scalable, secure CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure that protect sensitive health data while enabling rapid, trusted releases.
• Day to day, you will: Build, optimize, and maintain scalable backend microservices using .NET (C#) in Azure App Services, Azure Functions, and Azure Service Bus; Develop and maintain orchestration logic integrating with GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps pipelines to enforce 'Release Grades' based on Humana’s risk and compliance rubrics via the GLAPI enforcer; Deploy and manage Azure cloud infrastructure using Terraform and write automation scripts in Python to streamline operations; Collaborate with data engineers to support asynchronous 'Run Grade' calculations by managing and querying MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases, ensuring clean data flow to Databricks (Nabu) and ADLS Gen2 data lakes; Enforce supply chain security using JFrog Artifactory for package/container management, HashiCorp Vault for dynamic secrets, and LaunchDarkly for feature toggling; Lead implementation of Splunk for centralized logging, real-time health monitoring, and error handling across microservices; Participate in on-call rotation to ensure platform reliability and rapid incident response; Lead strategic modernization efforts by deprecating legacy SaaS worker functions, optimizing the grading engine, and reducing API bloat to improve pipeline performance and developer velocity.
• You will join a forward-thinking core engineering team undergoing a transformative modernization initiative, transitioning legacy systems into a streamlined, high-performance 'Run and Release' framework that serves as the backbone of Humana’s enterprise security orchestration.
• This role offers the opportunity to deepen expertise in cloud-native security architecture, DevSecOps automation, and enterprise-scale data engineering while making a tangible impact on the security and reliability of healthcare software systems that serve millions of members.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience in software engineering, DevOps, or DevSecOps roles
• Strong proficiency in .NET framework and C# development for backend microservices
• Deep understanding of Microsoft Azure (Azure Functions, App Services, Service Bus) and proven experience provisioning infrastructure using Terraform
• Hands-on experience with both relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases
• Experience building and integrating security tasks into GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps (ADO) pipelines
• Proficiency in writing automation scripts using Python
• Experience with Docker Desktop for containerization and building/testing REST APIs using tools like Postman
