📋 Description

• As a Senior DevSecOps Engineer at Airalo, you will play a critical role in securing and scaling the world’s largest eSIM platform, directly enabling seamless global connectivity for millions of travelers by embedding security into every layer of the software lifecycle.
• You will design, implement, and maintain secure, automated infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines that support rapid, reliable releases while ensuring compliance, vulnerability management, and threat detection across cloud-native environments.
• Day to day, you will: collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security controls into development workflows; automate infrastructure provisioning using IaC tools like Terraform and CloudFormation; manage and harden Kubernetes clusters in AWS and other cloud environments; implement and maintain SIEM, SOAR, and vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Trivy, Snyk, Qualys); lead incident response efforts and conduct regular security audits and penetration tests; mentor junior engineers on secure coding practices and DevSecOps principles; optimize cloud costs and performance without compromising security posture; stay current with emerging threats and security frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS, OWASP) to continuously improve Airalo’s security baseline.
• The Engineering team at Airalo is a fully remote, high-trust, high-impact group of engineers who own their work end-to-end, from ideation to production, with a strong emphasis on autonomy, technical excellence, and customer-centric innovation. You’ll collaborate with backend, frontend, and platform engineers across B2C and B2B product lines to ensure security is built in, not bolted on.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in cloud security, DevSecOps automation, and scalable infrastructure while gaining visibility into how security directly enables business growth at a global scale. You’ll have the opportunity to shape Airalo’s long-term security strategy, influence engineering culture, and become a trusted advisor on risk and resilience in a fast-growing, mission-driven tech company.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Security Engineering with a strong focus on integrating security into CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure.
• Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation), container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker), and cloud platforms (AWS preferred, GCP/Azure a plus).
• Hands-on experience with security tools including SAST/DAST (Snyk, SonarQube, Checkmarx), vulnerability scanners (Trivy, Qualys), SIEM/SOAR platforms, and secrets management (HashiCorp Vault, AWS Secrets Manager).
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Go for automation, tooling, and custom security integrations.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR) and experience preparing for or maintaining audit readiness.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to influence cross-functional teams and advocate for security best practices without slowing delivery velocity.
