- • Lead research and analysis for B2B marketing data operations and governance strategy, focusing on data readiness and oversight for AI agent transformation in marketing practices.
- • Advise CMOs and demand generation teams in enterprise and upper-midsize companies on building scalable data operations that support AI-driven personalization and autonomous workflows.
- • Design and enforce data governance policies covering acquisition, cataloging, storage, and lifecycle management of marketing data.
- • Implement data quality control processes including cleansing, validation, deduplication, and routine audits to ensure high data integrity across marketing systems.
- • Collaborate with IT, data engineering, and business units to align data definitions, metadata standards, and quality benchmarks across the marketing organization.
- • Architect and manage data integration pipelines between MarTech and AdTech platforms to create a single source of truth for marketing analytics and AI decision-making.
- • Develop and monitor real-time data pipelines that feed machine learning models and AI tools used for campaign optimization and customer journey mapping.
- • Ensure API integrations follow open standards and event-driven architectures to enable modular, agile data flow between marketing, sales, and CRM systems.
- • Implement identity resolution frameworks to unify customer data from disparate sources and build a comprehensive "customer 360" view for targeted marketing.
- • Utilize identity resolution outputs to power granular audience segmentation and optimize content delivery across channels.
- • Coordinate with CRM and CDP teams to align identity resolution processes with regulatory compliance and privacy mandates such as GDPR and CCPA.
- • Establish taxonomy and metadata standards for marketing assets and data elements to improve discoverability, auditability, and regulatory alignment.
- • Work with product marketing, analytics, and IT teams to ensure taxonomy reflects common business terminology and supports a unified marketing narrative.
- • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based research outputs including Magic Quadrants, Critical Capabilities, Market Guides, and Hype Cycles focused on B2B marketing technology.
- • Create and deliver client-facing presentations at webinars, Gartner conferences, and virtual meetings to communicate insights and recommendations.
- • Provide sales and service support to retain and grow Gartner’s client base through direct engagement with enterprise marketing leaders.
- • Build and maintain credibility as a trusted industry expert on B2B marketing data operations and AI transformation.
- • Mentor and coach junior analysts within the research team to foster professional growth and knowledge sharing.
- • Actively participate in internal innovation and research discussions to advance Gartner’s methodology and thought leadership.
- • Translate complex technical data operations concepts into clear, actionable business insights for executive audiences.
- • Maintain strong organizational skills to meet tight deadlines while producing high-quality, client-ready deliverables.
- • Represent Gartner’s research methodology and strategic positioning effectively across all client interactions and internal forums.
- • Communicate complex technical and strategic concepts concisely and persuasively in both written and verbal formats.
- • Engage confidently with C-suite and senior marketing executives to establish trust and influence decision-making.
- • Work independently and collaboratively within a global, multicultural team to support shared research goals and workflows.
🎯 Requirements
- • 12+ years of relevant B2B marketing data operations experience
- • Hands-on experience architecting and deploying context layers and AI agents at scale in marketing environments
- • Deep knowledge of permissions management, data security, and regulatory compliance in AI-driven marketing operations
- • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; graduate degree preferred
- • Proven track record of building and scaling data operations that support advanced AI use cases, including context-aware personalization and autonomous agent workflows
- • Demonstrated executive presence and ability to establish immediate credibility with CMOs and enterprise stakeholders
