- • Lead the editorial vision, voice, and cadence across all owned channels including blog, YouTube, social media, and community platforms to establish BOXED.GG as the most engaging destination in collectibles.
- • Own the end-to-end strategy and execution of the BOXED YouTube channel, including show concepts, episodic formats, talent selection, production scheduling, thumbnails, titles, and retention optimization to grow views, subscribers, and watch time.
- • Build and maintain a master editorial calendar that aligns with Marketing campaigns, product launches, and seasonal events, ensuring consistent content delivery across all formats and platforms.
- • Drive SEO-forward content strategy to increase branded and non-branded organic search traffic, improve rankings against competitors, and transform the BOXED blog into a top-of-funnel acquisition engine.
- • Partner with Paid Media, Product, and Communications teams to align technical SEO, site structure, and on-page content with broader growth objectives and conversion goals.
- • Manage and develop the Social & Community Manager, who handles daily social publishing and community engagement, while remaining ultimately accountable for community health, growth, and retention.
- • Oversee content ideation, production, and publishing across X, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, including reactive content and cultural moments that maintain brand relevance and visibility.
- • Direct a scalable roster of freelance writers, editors, and on-camera talent, negotiating rates, managing budgets, and enforcing brand and editorial standards across all contributors.
- • Lead the BOXED Community Creator Program, a curated group of micro and nano creators drawn from the customer base, ensuring its strategic direction, growth, and alignment with broader marketing initiatives.
- • Treat every piece of content as an on-ramp back to BOXED.GG, optimizing CTAs, landing experiences, and conversion pathways to drive site traffic, incremental purchases, and user retention.
- • Establish commercially-focused KPIs for content performance, tying engagement metrics (watch time, SEO rankings, social interactions) to business outcomes like site traffic, Month 1 user activity, and Day 60 revenue retention.
- • Leverage Northbeam multi-touch attribution platform to measure and attribute traffic and user actions from blog, YouTube, and social content to downstream product engagement and revenue.
- • Deliver regular performance reports and translate data insights into a clear roadmap for doubling down on high-impact content and eliminating underperforming initiatives.
- • Collaborate with Sr. Brand Marketing, Sr. Lifecycle Marketing, Influencer Marketing, and Communications leads to ensure consistent messaging across owned, earned, shared, and paid channels.
- • Serve as the brand’s voice in long-form owned content, setting editorial quality standards and reviewing every blog post, video script, and social caption before publication.
- • Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and community sentiment to inform content strategy and ensure BOXED remains a leader in the collectibles space.
- • Scale the editorial function by identifying and hiring future team members as the function grows, including potential roles in video, writing, and community management.
🎯 Requirements
- • 7+ years in content marketing, editorial, or journalism with proven experience building and scaling content programs that drive organic traffic and product engagement
- • Prior editor-in-chief or managing editor experience, preferably at a well-known brand or reputable outlet
- • Experience running a brand blog and/or YouTube channel at scale
- • Proven people management experience with direct reports
- • Deep working knowledge of SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console), analytics platforms (GA4, YouTube Studio, Northbeam), and CMS systems
- • Experience managing freelance writers, editors, and on-camera talent
