- • Senior Engineer role focused on designing and delivering workforce platforms, integrations, and AI-powered solutions that enhance how College Board staff work, directly supporting the mission to serve millions of students and thousands of schools.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include designing and implementing scalable, secure cloud services and automations using AWS Serverless, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, and AI/ML platforms; maintaining engineering standards; participating in Agile ceremonies; leading peer reviews; resolving production issues; and collaborating with Product DevOps, Security, Network, and Infrastructure teams.
- • The Workforce Tools & Integrations team builds cloud, AI, and automation platforms that modernize service management and streamline operations across College Board, working in close partnership with engineering and product teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions using tools like Jira Service Management, Atlassian Cloud, Slack, Okta, GitHub, and emerging AI technologies.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in AI infrastructure, event-driven architectures, and secure system design while mentoring teammates, influencing architectural decisions, and gaining hands-on experience with emerging technologies like Model Context Protocol (MCP) and LLMs—contributing to meaningful operational impact and career growth in a mission-driven environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5–8 years of production-level software development experience with full lifecycle ownership
- • Hands-on experience designing, deploying, and operating Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers in production
- • Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, and AWS Serverless technologies
- • Practical experience with AI infrastructure, security, and system administration including secrets management and access controls for LLM-based systems
- • Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills with ability to mentor teammates and explain AI tradeoffs to technical and non-technical partners
- • Authorization to work in the United States
