📋 Description

• Design and maintain financial reporting pipelines, reconciliation frameworks, and data models to ensure accurate, timely financial outputs by translating complex accounting treatments into scalable, well-documented data solutions in close collaboration with Finance teams.
• Build and govern key financial and operational KPIs, establishing reliable single sources of truth across the business and developing analytical frameworks that support strategic decision-making, financial planning, and performance monitoring.
• Drive an automation roadmap to reduce manual processes and scale with business growth, designing monitoring, alerting, and data quality controls that strengthen the overall financial control environment.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, and Data teams to embed finance data requirements into delivery from the outset, ensuring alignment between technical implementation and financial reporting needs.
• Document data ownership and processes clearly to build resilience and reduce single points of failure across the Finance Data team.
• Serve as a trusted voice of authority internally and externally to all levels, including the C-suite, on financial data matters and industry trends.
• Lead and inspire members of the Finance & Data team, providing mentorship and direction to enhance team performance and capability.
• Collaborate with internal teams to lead product initiatives that maximize revenue while delivering value to customers.
• Provide deep financial and data insights to internal teams to drive creative and long-term improvements to the company’s platform offering.
• Take full ownership and accountability for end-to-end delivery of finance analytics projects, ensuring high standards of accuracy, timeliness, and impact.
• Maintain rigorous attention to detail and a structured, methodical approach to problem-solving in a fast-moving environment where financial data integrity is critical.
• Communicate complex financial data concepts clearly to non-technical audiences without losing nuance, bridging the gap between finance and engineering disciplines.
• Implement finance logic accurately in data systems with a solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Contribute to the evolution of the Finance Data function as the company scales, shaping systems and processes to meet growing business demands.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years in Finance Data, Financial Reporting, Analytics, or a related data-focused role within financial services or fintech
• Strong SQL skills and experience building and maintaining data models in a modern cloud data warehouse (e.g. BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, or Databricks)
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting, with the ability to implement finance logic accurately in data systems
• Proven track record delivering automation and data infrastructure improvements that have measurable business impact
• Experience working with Engineering and Product teams in an Agile environment
• Strong grasp of data reconciliation, data quality, and financial controls best practices
