- • Own the front-end architecture for ParcelHero Pro, our next-generation Transport Management Solution that will be rolled out worldwide in 2025. You will architect, build, and refine the React-based web application that thousands of retailers will rely on daily to centralise orders and ship via their own carrier accounts.
- • Design and maintain a scalable, reusable component library that powers multiple product surfaces. Your components will be used by internal squads and external partners, so consistency, accessibility, and performance are non-negotiable.
- • Optimise for millions of users. With over 5 million annual visitors already hitting our price-comparison site, the Pro platform must load instantly, render smoothly on any device, and remain resilient under peak-season traffic spikes.
- • Champion best practices across the engineering org. You will set coding standards, drive peer reviews, and establish automated testing strategies (unit, integration, and end-to-end) that keep regressions out of production.
- • Mentor and level-up junior engineers through pair programming, architecture reviews, and brown-bag sessions. Your influence will shape a culture where continuous learning and open-source contribution are the norm.
- • Collaborate daily with product managers, UX designers, and back-end engineers in a fully remote, async-first environment. You will translate Figma prototypes into pixel-perfect, accessible UIs and negotiate API contracts that minimise friction for front-end consumers.
- • Experiment with emerging technologies and make build-vs-buy decisions. Whether it’s adopting a new state-management pattern, trialling the Mantine UI library, or introducing React Query for data synchronisation, you have the autonomy to propose and prove your ideas.
- • Ensure rock-solid accessibility. Every feature must meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards and work flawlessly across Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge. You will conduct regular audits and remediate issues before they reach customers.
- • Instrument, monitor, and continuously improve performance. From code-splitting and lazy-loading to Web Vitals tracking in Datadog, you will own the metrics that define a world-class user experience.
- • Contribute to the 2025 global launch roadmap. You will break epics into shippable increments, ship behind feature flags, and iterate rapidly based on real customer feedback gathered from early-access retailers.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of professional front-end development, including 3+ years building and deploying large-scale React applications in production
- • Expert-level JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript, with deep knowledge of React hooks, context, advanced patterns, and performance optimisation techniques
- • Proven track record creating accessible, responsive UIs that meet WCAG 2.1 AA and work flawlessly across modern browsers
- • Strong testing mindset: hands-on experience writing unit, integration, and end-to-end tests (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress or similar)
- • Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers, lead technical discussions, and drive adoption of best practices across distributed teams
