- • Own the delivery of significant React features on the Zable website, taking work from concept and technical design through implementation, release, and iterative improvement based on data and user feedback.
- • Work within cross-functional SuperApp teams to break down roadmap items into actionable tasks, sequence priorities, and maintain a smooth, flowing development board.
- • Write clean, maintainable React and TypeScript code that integrates seamlessly with the existing web stack—including NextJS, styling systems, and shared components—while adhering to team standards and proposing improvements where beneficial.
- • Strengthen testing practices by developing and maintaining unit and integration tests, ensuring end-to-end tests remain stable, meaningful, and effective for your product area.
- • Optimize the performance and user experience of the Zable website by monitoring and addressing key metrics such as load time, responsiveness, and error rates, collaborating with peers to resolve bottlenecks and defects.
- • Participate actively in design and discovery sessions with product managers and designers, offering realistic feedback on feasibility, trade-offs, and edge cases, and proposing simpler, more effective solutions to customer problems.
- • Mentor and support other engineers through thoughtful code reviews, pairing sessions, and knowledge sharing to elevate team-wide velocity and code quality.
- • Collaborate closely with backend engineers, product teams, and designers across multiple domains to ensure cohesive, high-quality customer journeys from discovery and eligibility to application and self-service.
- • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Zable website by evolving its architecture, tooling, and development practices to support rapid growth and high reliability.
- • Deliver features that directly impact customer acquisition, retention, and satisfaction across one of the UK’s most trusted fintech platforms with over 10,000 positive reviews on Trustpilot.
- • Deploy to production immediately after completing features, operating in a continuous delivery environment with Jenkins as the primary CI/CD tool.
- • Engage with a modern tech stack including React, TypeScript, MobX, Redux, Stylus, SASS, Jest, React Testing Library, Selenium, Maestro, and Detox in a high-velocity, high-impact engineering culture.
- • Work within a fully owned in-house technology ecosystem that rebuilds core financial products from scratch, leveraging data, ML, and AI to automate processes traditionally handled by legacy banking systems.
- • Influence the strategic direction of customer-facing web experiences as Lendable expands into the US market and scales its SuperApp platform to serve millions of users.
- • Contribute to a culture of ownership, where engineers are trusted to make decisions with material impact on the company’s success from day one.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong experience building production-grade React applications using TypeScript to write reliable, scalable frontend code.
- • Proven experience working on customer-facing websites with a focus on performance, accessibility, and responsive design.
- • Familiarity with modern web tooling including routing libraries, testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library), and styling solutions.
- • Experience with automated testing as a core part of delivery, including unit and integration tests, with an emphasis on test reliability and maintainability.
- • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with product managers and designers to refine requirements, estimate complexity, and communicate trade-offs.
- • Collaborative working style, comfortable giving and receiving feedback in code reviews, pairing, and cross-team discussions.
