• In this role, you will be empowered to own features end-to-end, from conception to deployment. Your primary focus will be on building sophisticated tooling that enables Large Language Models (LLMs) to interact reliably with our platform. This involves implementing intuitive frontend interfaces that allow non-technical users to collaborate seamlessly with AI, and developing robust backend logic that ensures the entire system operates with unwavering reliability. The core challenge lies in architecting foolproof logic that AI can execute autonomously, while simultaneously designing a user experience that remains simple and accessible for individuals without technical expertise.
• You will be responsible for shipping clean, well-structured code across the entire technology stack. This includes developing and maintaining Python and Node.js services, crafting responsive and engaging React interfaces, and building efficient background job processing systems. Your contributions will span the full spectrum of full-stack development, ensuring a cohesive and high-performing product.
• A key aspect of your work will involve creating tools and functions that LLMs can reliably call. This requires meticulous attention to detail, particularly in implementing bulletproof error handling mechanisms and providing clear, comprehensive documentation. You will ensure that these AI-driven tools are not only functional but also dependable and easy for the AI to understand and utilize.
• You will collaborate closely with our design team to implement the user interface for these AI tools. The goal is to translate complex AI capabilities into a simple, user-friendly experience that empowers non-technical business owners to leverage AI effectively without a steep learning curve.
• Building resilience into our system will be a critical responsibility. This includes developing sophisticated retry logic, implementing fallback mechanisms for when operations fail, and designing self-correction capabilities that allow the AI to adapt and recover from errors autonomously.
• Instrumenting our application for comprehensive monitoring and analysis is paramount. You will add detailed tracking and logging across the platform to meticulously measure the real-world impact of new features and identify areas for improvement. This data-driven approach will inform our development priorities and ensure we are continuously iterating based on user behavior and system performance.
• You will develop and optimize background workflows that orchestrate complex, multi-step operations. This involves chaining together various services and processes to execute tasks efficiently and reliably, ensuring that background processes are robust and scalable.
• As a senior member of the team, you will actively mentor junior engineers, sharing your expertise and best practices. You will contribute to raising the overall engineering bar through thorough code reviews, constructive feedback, and collaborative pair programming sessions.
• You will leverage AI tools to accelerate your own development process, staying at the forefront of technological advancements and applying them to enhance productivity and code quality.
• Your role will involve close collaboration with designers to understand technical constraints and explore innovative possibilities, ensuring that our product vision is both ambitious and technically feasible.
• You will be comfortable navigating and understanding large, complex codebases, identifying service boundaries, and ensuring seamless integration between different components of our architecture.
• A proven track record of shipping features independently, while also demonstrating strong collaborative skills with designers and fellow engineers, is essential for success in this role.
• Strong code review skills are a must, as you will be expected to identify potential bugs and architectural issues before they reach production, safeguarding the quality and stability of our software.
• You will be working with a modern tech stack including React for the frontend, Python with FastAPI and Node.js for the backend services, and leveraging infrastructure on Railway and AWS, with integrations to multiple LLM providers. DevOps practices are supported by GitHub Actions and Grafana for monitoring.
• We are seeking an engineer who possesses solid product thinking, understanding how technical decisions directly influence user experience and business outcomes. Your ability to translate business needs into elegant technical solutions will be highly valued.
• The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience shipping production-ready full-stack applications, demonstrating a strong command of Python, Node.js, and React, with a consistent focus on clean architecture and maintainable code.
• Experience with LLM tool calling, function definitions, and prompt engineering is highly desirable, as it directly aligns with the core technical challenges of this role.
