- • As a Senior Full Stack Engineer on MDCalc's commercial team, you will be the technical backbone of the systems that power revenue and business operations, building and owning internal tooling, data pipelines, and backend services that support advertising delivery, campaign management, audience segmentation, and commercial reporting.
- • You will design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines and analytics infrastructure to power commercial decision-making, partner with business stakeholders to translate commercial requirements into scalable technical solutions, and contribute to architecture decisions around data modeling, API design, and system performance for commercial-facing services.
- • You will work within MDCalc’s expanding tech team, collaborating closely with data, product, and commercial teams to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and observability across systems through thoughtful instrumentation, testing, and documentation, while shipping reliable, well-documented software with real business impact.
- • In this role, you will have the opportunity to deepen your expertise in backend systems, data engineering, and scalable architecture while contributing to a mission-driven platform used by over 65% of physicians worldwide to improve patient outcomes across hundreds of conditions.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- • Strong full stack proficiency with a clear backend lean, fluency in Node & React/Next.js, and strong instincts in server-side systems, APIs, and data
- • Strong experience with relational databases (Postgres) and data modeling, including writing complex queries and thoughtful schema design
- • Experience building internal tooling, data pipelines, or analytics infrastructure, preferably in commercial, ad-tech, or revenue-adjacent contexts
- • Comfort moving between engineering and data roles, including writing migration scripts and extracting insights from datasets
- • Experience with Amazon AWS and modern infrastructure tooling (Docker, Terraform) is a plus
- • Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical tradeoffs for non-technical stakeholders
- • Background in ad tech, commercial platforms, or data-heavy engineering is a meaningful plus
