- • Senior Full-Stack Engineer at Kadmos GmbH, responsible for owning crucial engineering activities in building secure, reliable, and scalable financial solutions for the global shipping industry, empowering seafarers and shipping companies through regulated salary payment technology.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and maintaining core backend systems and frontend applications, building reusable libraries, implementing complex financial components, integrating with external service providers, taking full ownership of tasks while collaborating with product, compliance, and engineering teams, and contributing to platforms handling secure financial transactions at scale.
- • Kadmos is a Berlin-based fintech startup founded in 2021 by MIT graduates, backed by Addition and Atlantic Labs with over $39M in funding, focused on revolutionizing salary payments for migrant workers by bringing transparent FX and low-margin fintech to industries plagued by opaque practices and cash dependency.
- • The role offers the opportunity to design systems with direct social impact, gain deep expertise in regulated financial technology, work with modern Java/Spring Boot and React/TypeScript stacks, influence product and architecture decisions, and grow as a technical leader in a mission-driven, international environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of professional experience in full-stack development with Java Spring Boot and React
- • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics
- • Expertise in Java with strong knowledge of Spring Boot, modern frameworks, SDKs, API standards, and libraries
- • Expertise in React with strong emphasis on TypeScript, including experience with Redux, React Query, styled-components, MUI, or similar
- • Extensive hands-on experience developing scalable and testable high-quality solutions in an agile environment
- • Solid experience with unit, integration, and performance testing (JUnit, Spock, Testcontainers; React Testing Library, Cypress)
- • Strong understanding of building secure, reliable, and scalable systems, ideally in regulated or financial services context
- • Proactive, ambitious, collaborative mindset with a track record of delivering high-quality solutions
- • Fluency in English
