- • Own complex product areas end-to-end, from architecture decisions through implementation, deployment, and post-launch iteration, with minimal supervision.
- • Drive technical direction in your area without waiting for tickets or detailed specs; initiate and lead technical decisions independently.
- • Provide engineering input directly to Product and leadership teams, pushing back on scope, flagging risks, and proposing better solutions based on technical realities.
- • Take full responsibility for the reliability, performance, and scalability of your assigned product areas in a high-traffic, production environment serving hundreds of thousands of global users.
- • Participate in and lead code reviews to raise engineering standards across the team and ensure code quality, maintainability, and readability.
- • Mentor mid-level engineers by providing guidance, feedback, and technical direction to elevate the team’s overall skill level.
- • Contribute to hiring and onboarding new engineers, including evaluating candidates and integrating them into the team culture.
- • Set up, improve, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and development workflows to enhance deployment speed and system stability.
- • Monitor, debug, and improve the stability of production systems, responding proactively to incidents and performance bottlenecks.
- • Help shape and evolve engineering culture and best practices as the team scales, ensuring alignment with high-performance standards.
- • Build and maintain full-stack web applications using React and Next.js, with at least two years of hands-on production experience using the Next.js App Router.
- • Implement features using TypeScript with a strong understanding of modern frontend architecture patterns and state management.
- • Design and optimize PostgreSQL schemas, write efficient queries, and perform data modeling for scalable data storage.
- • Apply caching strategies using Redis or equivalent systems to improve application performance under heavy load.
- • Work within cloud-based environments such as AWS and Cloudflare, leveraging their services for deployment, scaling, and infrastructure management.
- • Integrate and manage A/B testing frameworks and use analytics data to inform product decisions and iterate on features.
- • Ship high-quality features in days, not weeks, balancing speed with long-term maintainability under real-world pressure and ambiguity.
- • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders, including product and leadership teams.
- • Proactively identify potential issues before they escalate and raise them early with data-driven recommendations.
- • Maintain a high bar for code quality, system reliability, and operational excellence in a fast-paced, D2C SaaS environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • 4+ years of hands-on, production experience building and maintaining full-stack web applications.
- • Strong, practical experience with React and Next.js, including at least 2 years working with the Next.js App Router in production.
- • Deep understanding of TypeScript and modern frontend architecture patterns.
- • Proven ability to own features end-to-end — from vague requirements to production-ready implementation.
- • Solid experience with PostgreSQL, including query optimization, schema design, and data modeling.
- • High bar for code quality, maintainability, and readability.
