- • Own the end-to-end experience for new and existing users of ActiveCampaign Hilos, the WhatsApp-first CRM that is redefining how businesses talk to their customers. You will architect, build, and ship features that turn first-time visitors into power users in minutes, not weeks.
- • Re-imagine onboarding from the ground up. WhatsApp Business behaves very differently from personal WhatsApp, so you will design interactive tours, contextual tooltips, and progressive disclosure flows that feel native to the channel yet unmistakably ActiveCampaign. Expect to A/B test every pixel and iterate daily.
- • Drive activation and retention metrics by instrumenting the product to surface the right next action at the right moment. Whether it’s nudging a user to connect their first template, automate a drip campaign, or escalate a support ticket, you will own the logic, UI, and backend services that make it happen.
- • Be the first engineer to implement brand-new WhatsApp features the moment Meta releases them. From message templates with dynamic buttons to multi-product catalogs, you will translate API specs into delightful user experiences and ensure Hilos is always ahead of the market.
- • Ship fast, then ship faster. You will release an MVP in days, gather quantitative and qualitative feedback, and roll out improvements in weekly sprints. Your pull requests are clean, tested, and accompanied by analytics dashboards that prove impact.
- • Mentor teammates on design and UX best practices. Run internal workshops on component libraries, accessibility, and motion design. Champion a culture where every engineer thinks like a product owner and obsesses over the customer journey.
- • Collaborate elbow-to-elbow with Product, Sales, and Customer Success to understand what success looks like for a real estate agency in São Paulo, an e-commerce brand in Madrid, or a fintech in Lagos. Translate those insights into code that scales to millions of conversations.
- • Instrument everything. You will wire up event tracking, set up alerts in Sentry and Datadog, and build self-healing systems so that when something breaks at 3 a.m., the team knows before the first customer complains.
- • Contribute to our evolving microservice architecture running on Kubernetes and AWS. You will refactor monoliths into scalable services, optimize GraphQL queries, and keep PostgreSQL and Redis humming under load spikes caused by Black Friday campaigns.
- • Advocate for security and privacy. WhatsApp messages contain PII, so you will implement end-to-end encryption best practices, maintain SOC-2 compliance, and ensure every new feature passes rigorous security reviews.
- • Celebrate wins and learn from failures in a blameless culture. Demo your work every Friday, write post-mortems that read like thrillers, and ship hotfixes with confidence because your test coverage is legendary.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years in a full-stack or frontend role with demonstrable UI/UX craftsmanship
- • Startup mindset: bias for shipping MVPs quickly and iterating relentlessly
- • Production experience with Python (Django), TypeScript (React), PostgreSQL, Redis, REST, GraphQL, Kubernetes, and AWS
- • Deep familiarity with WhatsApp Business API and day-to-day consumer usage patterns
