📋 Description

• As a Senior GENAI Engineer at Weekday Technologies Inc., you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge generative AI solutions that power intelligent applications for our clients. Your expertise will directly contribute to advancing AI-driven innovation in software development, enabling smarter automation, enhanced user experiences, and scalable AI systems that solve real-world business challenges.
• You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product, data science, and software engineering to translate complex AI research into production-ready features, ensuring models are not only accurate but also efficient, secure, and aligned with ethical AI practices.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
• Designing and implementing large language model (LLM)-based applications using frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Hugging Face Transformers, with a focus on retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), prompt engineering, and fine-tuning techniques.
• Developing scalable APIs and microservices to serve GENAI models in production environments, leveraging cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Optimizing model performance through techniques such as quantization, distillation, and caching, while monitoring latency, throughput, and cost-efficiency in real-time inference pipelines.
• Collaborating with data engineers to curate, preprocess, and manage high-quality training and evaluation datasets, ensuring data privacy, bias mitigation, and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Conducting rigorous experimentation and A/B testing to evaluate model outputs, iterating based on quantitative metrics (BLEU, ROUGE, perplexity) and qualitative feedback from stakeholders.
• Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to technical documentation, best practices, and internal knowledge sharing to elevate the team’s GENAI competency.
• Staying current with the latest advancements in generative AI research, including multimodal models, agentic systems, and open-source innovations, and evaluating their applicability to client use cases.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering with a strong focus on AI/ML, particularly in building and deploying applications using large language models (LLMs) or generative AI techniques.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face, along with familiarity with GENAI-specific tools like LangChain, LlamaIndex, or vLLM.
• Proven experience in designing and deploying scalable AI services using cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and API development (REST, GraphQL).
• Strong understanding of prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), model fine-tuning, and evaluation methodologies for LLMs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate ambiguous business requirements into technical solutions and communicate complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with multimodal AI (vision, audio), agent-based systems, or contributions to open-source GENAI projects.
