📋 Description

• • Senior Hardware Engineer leading the physical design and component strategy for Armada’s Orbital Galleon, a modular high-compute orbital data center for Low Earth Orbit and beyond.
• • Day-to-day responsibilities include selecting CPUs, GPUs, and NVMe storage based on performance-per-watt and radiation susceptibility; architecting custom server sleds and backplanes for PCIe Gen 5/6 and CXL; collaborating with Tier 1 vendors on firmware and hardware modifications for orbital stability; designing conduction-based cooling using PCM and heat pipes; leading space-adaptation of terrestrial hardware via shielding and structural reinforcement; and overseeing hardware validation through breadboarding, TVAC, and vibration qualification.
