- • As the Senior Legal Counsel US, you will be instrumental in establishing and accelerating n8n's go-to-market strategy within the United States, with a primary focus on driving Enterprise and Mid-Market deal velocity.
- • You will serve as the dedicated on-the-ground legal lead, empowered to make critical, principled risk calls directly, thereby minimizing the need for escalations and ensuring swift deal progression.
- • Your core responsibility will be to **OWN US COMMERCIAL CONTRACTING**, leading the end-to-end negotiation of complex enterprise SaaS agreements. A significant portion of this will involve specialized focus on agreements within the banking and financial services sectors.
- • You will be expected to exercise keen business acumen, making clear, strategic risk trade-offs within established company guardrails to unblock revenue streams efficiently and effectively.
- • A key objective is to reduce reliance on and expenditure for outside counsel by providing responsive, expert legal coverage across all US time zones, ensuring timely support for the business.
- • Furthermore, you will be tasked with **BUILDING & ENFORCING US PLAYBOOKS**. This involves creating, localizing, and diligently maintaining AMER-specific playbooks, fallback positions, and comprehensive clause libraries to ensure consistency and efficiency in contracting.
- • You will collaborate closely with Legal Operations to standardize templates, implement automated workflows, and scale deal desk processes, thereby enhancing operational efficiency and reducing manual effort.
- • A crucial aspect of this role is training Go-To-Market (GTM) teams on established legal positions and clear escalation paths, fostering a culture of consistency and compliance across the organization.
- • You will also **DRIVE US PRIVACY, SECURITY, & AI READINESS**. This entails providing expert advice on US privacy and marketing laws, including CCPA/CPRA, the evolving state-level patchwork of regulations, and rules governing cookies and lead generation. Alignment with SOC 2 buyer expectations will be paramount.
- • You will counsel the Product team on the legal implications of AI-powered features, data usage policies, and emerging state AI guidance, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks.
- • Operationalizing international data transfer mechanisms will be a key responsibility, ensuring n8n's global data handling practices are robust and compliant.
- • You will coordinate closely with the Security and IT departments to address customer questionnaires, regulatory riders, and other security-related inquiries, safeguarding the company's reputation and compliance posture.
- • Your role extends to **SCALING GTM OPERATIONS & CROSS-FUNCTIONAL IMPACT**. You will partner extensively with Sales, Customer Success (CS), Revenue Operations (RevOps), Finance, and Marketing teams to streamline the entire quote-to-close process and manage renewals effectively.
- • You will influence deal desk strategies and pricing/packaging motions by providing practical, data-driven guidance, ensuring legal considerations are integrated into commercial decision-making.
- • You will provide strategic commercial counsel to support n8n's US expansion initiatives and overall regulatory strategy, acting as a key advisor to leadership.
- • Finally, you will **SUPPORT US CORPORATE MATTERS**. This includes leading support for n8n US Inc. on corporate governance issues and managing commercial vendor contracts.
- • You will be responsible for implementing contract tooling and ensuring metadata hygiene to enable robust reporting and valuable business insights.
- • You will own the continuous improvement of legal processes within a fast-moving, high-ambiguity environment, demonstrating adaptability and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
