📋 Description

• Nivoda is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Logistics Associate to join our dynamic team in Amsterdam. This is a pivotal, full-time, permanent, and fully in-office role, operating Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm. You will play a crucial role in co-leading the operational engine of our Netherlands hub, working alongside two other Senior Fulfilment Executives. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the break-bulk process for consolidated imports originating from India, and subsequently orchestrate efficient and secure last-mile shipments to destinations across the globe. This is a hands-on position where you will be accountable for ensuring the accuracy, speed, and security of our logistics operations, while also providing guidance to junior team members and actively contributing to the development and scaling of new workflows, such as those for Express, Jewellery, and Melee diamond categories.
• As a Senior Logistics Associate, you will be instrumental in co-leading our inbound and break-bulk operations. This involves meticulously reconciling incoming manifests, verifying the exact counts and condition of goods received, and efficiently staging orders for the subsequent pick-and-pack process. Your keen eye for detail will be paramount in ensuring that all incoming shipments are accurately accounted for and prepared for onward processing.
• You will also be responsible for running our fulfilment and dispatch operations. This encompasses the precise execution of pick-and-pack activities, accurate labelling of shipments, efficient booking of couriers, and adherence to strict cut-off times. A critical aspect of this role is the proactive tracking of shipments via scanning systems and the swift resolution of any delays or issues that may arise, ensuring end-to-end accountability for the delivery process.
• Effective and proactive communication is a cornerstone of this role. You will be expected to provide timely updates to our Customer Service, Supplier Support, and regional teams regarding the status of shipments, potential risks, and recovery plans. Maintaining clear and consistent communication channels will be vital for seamless operations and client satisfaction.
• You will co-own the management of special logistical streams, including Express, Jewellery, and Melee orders. This will involve assisting in the development and execution of specific protocols for these high-value and often time-sensitive categories, as well as contributing to the establishment of clear Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for future NL workflows. Your input will be crucial in adapting our logistics to meet the unique demands of different product types.
• A significant part of your role will involve driving continuous improvement within our logistics processes. You will be expected to identify opportunities for enhancement, propose solutions, and actively support the day-to-day organisation and efficiency of the hub. This includes optimising workflows, improving resource allocation, and ensuring a well-organized and productive working environment.
• You will also act as a key support to the Hub Lead, assisting in the development and refinement of SOPs, particularly concerning the secure handling of high-value goods. Furthermore, you will be expected to pitch in on simple, daily tasks as needed to ensure the smooth and unblocked flow of operations, demonstrating a flexible and team-oriented approach.

• You will be working with essential tools such as Slack for communication, including channels, threads, huddles, and escalations, and Google Workspace for document management, spreadsheets, email, and presentations. Proficiency in these tools is expected.

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of comprehensive logistics experience across any industry; experience within the luxury goods sector is highly advantageous.
• Proven experience in stock control and management of high-value products, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and security.
• Familiarity with major courier services (e.g., FedEx, UPS, Brinks) and practical experience utilizing tracking systems is beneficial.
• Exceptional attention to detail, with a meticulous approach to all operational tasks.
• Demonstrated honesty, professionalism, and integrity in all aspects of work.
