- • As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Sona Technologies Inc., you will play a pivotal role in scaling the company’s AI-native workforce management platform, which serves frontline workers across industries by optimizing scheduling, HR, payroll, and communications. Your work will directly impact over 100,000 frontline employees and help organizations operate more efficiently in the face of staffing challenges and rising costs.
- • You will own end-to-end client deployments of production forecasting systems, including validating data, selecting and tuning models, conducting user acceptance testing, going live, and monitoring performance. This involves regular client calls to understand real-world operational needs—such as ensuring kitchens prepare the correct food quantities—translating business realities into effective ML solutions.
- • You will join a small, high-impact two-person ML team within a growing organization of 140+ employees, backed by over $100M in funding from top-tier investors including N47, Felicis, Northzone, and Gradient Ventures (Google). The team values pragmatism, ownership, and iterative improvement over perfectionism or research-only pursuits.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in applying machine learning to real-world, messy environments, learn to balance model complexity with usability, and grow as a full-stack ML practitioner who bridges technical excellence with business impact—using AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code or Cursor as your standard workflow.
