- • Senior Machine Learning Engineer role in the AI Enabler team at Cast AI, focused on building autonomous infrastructure that optimizes AI workloads in Kubernetes and cloud environments by automatically selecting cost-efficient, high-performing LLMs and reducing infrastructure waste.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include evaluating and analyzing LLM performance, architecting and building inference and training pipelines, staying current with industry trends, and collaborating across teams to design end-to-end solutions for AI infrastructure automation using Python, vLLM, SGLang, TensorRT, ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, GCP Pub/Sub, gRPC, REST, Kubernetes, and multi-cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- • Cast AI is a global automation platform headquartered in Miami with teams across 34 countries, serving over 2,100 enterprise clients including Akamai, BMW, Cisco, and HuggingFace; the company achieved unicorn status in January 2026 with a $1B+ valuation backed by Shinsegae Group’s venture arm.
- • The role offers the opportunity to impact a technical greenfield project, drive innovation in AI infrastructure optimization, and grow expertise in ML inference optimization, distributed systems, and cloud-native technologies while working in a flexible, remote-first environment across European time zones (GMT 0 to GMT +3).
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Data Science and Machine Learning with a proven track record and robust project portfolio
- • Strong software engineering skills in Python
- • Expertise in ML inference optimizations including reducing initialization time/memory, weight quantization, and tuning inference engines (vLLM, SGLang, TensorRT)
- • Knowledge of network optimization for distributed ML training and inference
- • Understanding of distributed training patterns and checkpointing strategies
- • Must be physically located in any European country within GMT 0 to GMT +3 time zones
- • Strong English skills with excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team setting
