• • As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer within our specialized AI Foundry team, you will be instrumental in tackling high-impact business challenges through the development of production-grade internal AI tooling. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of the entire machine learning lifecycle, from initial solution exploration and value validation with stakeholders to rapid prototyping and the deployment and ongoing maintenance of robust systems.
• • You will collaborate closely with product managers, backend engineers, and operational stakeholders to deliver cutting-edge tools that directly enhance our client service capabilities and streamline Kraken's internal operations. Your contributions will be vital in shaping the future of how we operate and serve our clients.
• • Example initiatives you may contribute to include the development of an LLM-powered assistant designed to enhance internal knowledge discovery and access, the creation of tools to summarize code changes for improved client delivery and decision-making processes, and assisting teams in assessing and accelerating client migration projects.
• • **What You'll Do:**
• • Build and deploy sophisticated LLM-powered internal tools aimed at improving knowledge accessibility, significantly reducing time spent on information discovery, and directly contributing to successful client delivery outcomes.
• • Take full ownership of projects from inception to completion, encompassing problem framing, rigorous experimentation, robust engineering, seamless production deployment, continuous monitoring, and iterative improvements.
• • Design, implement, and operate Large Language Model (LLM) systems in real-world production environments, with a keen focus on maintaining high quality, optimizing latency, managing costs effectively, and ensuring overall reliability. This includes establishing strong evaluation practices and implementing fast feedback loops for continuous enhancement.
• • Leverage classic Machine Learning (ML) and data science skills to complement LLM approaches where beneficial. This may involve tasks such as developing ranking algorithms, implementing classification models, conducting in-depth analytics, and establishing precise measurement frameworks.
• • Work hands-on within a Python-centric ecosystem to develop services, data pipelines, and tooling that are inherently maintainable, thoroughly testable, and production-ready.
• • Engage in close collaboration with backend engineers, product managers, and internal users, including Client Delivery Leads, to collaboratively define Minimum Viable Products (MVPs), iterate rapidly based on feedback, and drive widespread adoption of developed tools.
• • Actively contribute to fostering a culture that champions strong engineering practices, encourages pragmatic experimentation, and promotes continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the team and across the organization.
