- • As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Neara Inc., you will play a pivotal role in developing machine learning models that create engineering-grade digital twins of electricity grids, enabling utilities to stress-test infrastructure against extreme weather and structural stress to build a more resilient global energy future.
- • You will work across the full ML lifecycle—from data collection and QA using LiDAR, imagery, GIS, and vector data sources, to model training, optimization, deployment, and monitoring—while defining ML strategy for complex, ill-defined problems in energy infrastructure.
- • You will contribute to scaling model serving, reducing idea-to-evaluation time, improving model QA speed, detecting data and distribution drift, and mentoring junior engineers in ML and software engineering best practices.

🎯 Requirements
- • Demonstrated experience with Machine Learning and Deep Learning, including hands-on work with frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX.
- • Strong foundation in software engineering principles, with proven ability to write production-quality, maintainable code and collaborate effectively in asynchronous, cross-functional teams.
- • Ability to own problems proactively, work with ill-defined challenges, and define ML strategies for novel domains such as power grid digitization from imperfect real-world data.
