- • Senior Machine Learning Engineer focused on computer vision to improve surgical care through AI-driven tools and systems.
- • Collaborate with engineering, product, and data science teams to solve business challenges using ML and AI solutions; develop tools to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
- • Build, integrate, and monitor end-to-end lifecycles of large-scale, distributed machine learning systems; investigate model performance and data quality issues.
- • Apella applies computer vision and machine learning to enhance surgical care quality, enabling surgeons, nurses, and administrators to deliver better outcomes; remote-first startup culture with opportunities to shape ML function and grow professionally.
- • Develop expertise in healthcare AI, ML tooling for dataset management, and scalable ML systems; gain experience in SaaS product development and cross-functional collaboration in a mission-driven environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • Experience designing and building tooling for annotation, curation, and management of ML datasets
- • Proficiency handling real-world, high-volume, high-velocity datasets, especially image and video formats
- • 5+ years of experience with machine learning systems covering full production workflow and monitoring
- • Proficiency in writing readable, tested, and efficient code in collaborative engineering environments
- • Familiarity with developing SaaS products for business customers
