This Senior Machine Learning Engineer role is pivotal in scaling our digital-first custom dental appliance manufacturing, a business that has become the industry leader in just three years. We are establishing a world-class Machine Learning and Computer Vision team to significantly enhance our 3D dental platform and automate numerous processes currently performed manually in our manufacturing operations.
• • As a key member of this newly formed, global, and remote team, you will be instrumental in laying the groundwork for future success. Your responsibilities will include defining and implementing best practices in machine learning and computer vision, tackling complex and novel data challenges with potential industry-wide impact, and fostering an environment of innovation. You will be tasked with developing sophisticated machine learning models designed to extract meaningful structure and insights from unstructured, information-dense 3D scans and other relevant sensory data within the dental field. This involves delving into state-of-the-art (SOTA) methods for both 3D generative AI tasks and conventional computer vision challenges, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in this domain. You will collaborate closely with product and research teams to pinpoint opportunities for enhancing our existing product lines and to enable the development of future product offerings. A significant part of your role will involve working with vast datasets, developing versatile, generic models that can be broadly applied, as well as fine-tuning these models for specific, nuanced applications within our dental context. Furthermore, you will be responsible for creating robust evaluation methodologies that ensure confidence in the integrity and performance of our datasets and models, a critical step in maintaining high standards of quality and reliability. You will also play a crucial role in implementing and refining best practices for our MLOps pipelines, ensuring efficient and scalable deployment and management of machine learning models. This includes setting up continuous integration, continuous delivery, and monitoring systems for machine learning workflows.
