Senior Machine Learning Engineer, Search

📋 Description

• • As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer on the Embedding & Search team at Twelve Labs Inc., you will own and build core components of the company's search and retrieval platform, combining vector search, lexical retrieval, and reranking to deliver fast, accurate, and scalable search experiences for global customers.
• • You will own and build core subsystems of the search platform on EKS, including vector indexing (ANN), lexical retrieval, hybrid fusion, reranking, and temporal (segment-level) search; optimize retrieval performance at million to billion-scale; develop and maintain production microservices across the search stack; collaborate with research/training teams to co-evolve embeddings and retrieval strategies; implement evaluation frameworks for search quality; and work cross-functionally with platform/infra and product teams to ship search capabilities end-to-end.
