- • Shape the next generation of AI that powers 21+ million everyday entrepreneurs worldwide. As a Senior Machine Learning Scientist at GoDaddy, you will sit at the intersection of data, product, and customer obsession, turning billions of behavioral, transactional, and conversational signals into models that help small-business owners launch, grow, and thrive online.
- • Own end-to-end ML lifecycles for high-impact domains such as search ranking, recommendation, customer lifetime value, risk/fraud detection, and generative-AI–assisted content creation. From framing the business question to deploying models that serve 100K+ requests per second with sub-100 ms latency, you will be the technical anchor who ensures every experiment translates into measurable revenue or cost savings.
- • Architect and productionize large-scale, distributed training pipelines on AWS (SageMaker, EMR, Lambda, EKS) using PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Spark. You will design feature stores, model registries, and automated retraining workflows that cut experiment iteration time from weeks to hours while maintaining strict privacy, security, and compliance standards (GDPR, CCPA, PCI-DSS).
- • Collaborate daily with cross-functional squads of product managers, UX researchers, data engineers, and full-stack developers in a truly global, remote-first culture. You will translate complex statistical findings into clear narratives that influence C-level decisions, and you will mentor junior scientists through code reviews, pair programming, and brown-bag sessions.
- • Pioneer responsible AI practices by embedding fairness, explainability, and bias-mitigation techniques into every model. You will lead red-team exercises and champion ethical guidelines that protect GoDaddy’s diverse customer base and uphold the company’s “Open, Honest, and Extraordinary” values.
- • Drive the technical roadmap for MLOps, championing experimentation platforms, A/B testing frameworks, and real-time monitoring dashboards that detect drift, anomalies, and performance degradation before customers feel any impact.
- • Contribute to GoDaddy’s vibrant open-source community by publishing research, speaking at conferences (KDD, NeurIPS, AWS re:Invent), and patenting novel algorithms that keep us two steps ahead of the competition.
- • Leverage petabyte-scale data sets spanning domains, websites, commerce, marketing, and customer support to uncover growth levers nobody else sees. Your insights will directly inform pricing strategies, churn-reduction programs, and entirely new product lines.
- • Balance cutting-edge science with pragmatic delivery. You will know when a gradient-boosted tree beats a 10-layer transformer, and you will ship the simpler model first—then iterate relentlessly based on live customer feedback.

🎯 Requirements
- • 6+ years of hands-on experience designing, training, and deploying machine-learning models in production at web scale, preferably in e-commerce, marketplaces, or SaaS.
- • Expert-level proficiency in Python, SQL, and at least one deep-learning framework (PyTorch or TensorFlow); experience with distributed training, feature engineering, and model-serving architectures.
- • Proven track record of translating ambiguous business problems into measurable ML objectives and delivering >$5 M annual impact through data-driven experimentation.
- • M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or a related quantitative field; publications or patents in ML/AI are a strong plus.
- • Nice-to-have: experience with large-language-model fine-tuning, causal inference, reinforcement learning, or real-time personalization at global scale.
