📋 Description

• As a Senior Manager, Revenue at MongoDB, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting by determining appropriate accounting treatment for new product offerings and complex revenue transactions under ASC 606.
• Your day-to-day responsibilities include leading month-end and quarter-end close activities, managing a small team of Revenue Analysts, reviewing revenue streams and contract write-ups for compliance, and providing technical guidance to business partners during product rollouts.
• You will join a high-performing, visible Revenue team responsible for managing monthly close, contract negotiation, revenue recognition policies, and supporting quarterly forecasting for revenue and billings, reporting directly to the Director of Revenue.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in ASC 606, lead and mentor a team, influence cross-functional initiatives with OTC, FP&A, Legal, and Deal Desk, and establish yourself as a trusted advisor on revenue recognition within a high-growth enterprise software environment.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA preferred) with 9+ years of experience in revenue accounting at a public, high-growth SaaS or technology company
• Deep expertise in ASC 606 and experience with revenue close operations, reconciliation, and working with sales data, customer contracts, and product offerings
• Proficiency in MS Excel and experience working with large volumes of data, along with knowledge of ERP (NetSuite) and CRM (Salesforce) systems
• Proven experience in hiring, managing, and mentoring high-performing teams, with strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with excellent time management, attention to detail, and a self-motivated, deadline-oriented mindset
