📋 Description

• • Lead the strategic direction and day-to-day execution of software development for PTC Perc products, including Perc Ultra SMP (32-bit) and Perc 64 (64-bit), ensuring their continued success and evolution within the defense industry.
• • Take ownership of the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept and development through to release, maintenance, and customer support, for these specialized, defense-related software solutions.
• • Manage and mentor a small, high-performing technical team, fostering a collaborative and productive environment where innovation and technical excellence are paramount.
• • Conduct all standard HR management functions for your direct report, including performance reviews, career development planning, task delegation, and proactive issue resolution, ensuring individual and team growth.
• • Oversee and actively participate in the software development process, including bug fixing, implementing enhancements, and managing major product releases, ensuring adherence to high-quality standards.
• • Provide comprehensive training and guidance to team members on development processes, established procedures, and the intricate technical details of the Perc product suite.
• • Implement rigorous code review processes, meticulously examining code changes before integration into main branches to maintain code integrity and prevent regressions.
• • Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive regression test suites to validate bug fixes and new features, ensuring product stability and reliability.
• • Proactively monitor nightly build results, swiftly identify any errors or warnings, and implement timely corrections to maintain continuous integration and development workflows.
• • Manage the end-to-end build, test, and release process for Perc product versions, including the creation of detailed Release Notes, updating and packaging essential documentation, and publishing releases to secure PTC download servers.
• • Collaborate closely with the CPG DevTools Manager to modify and enhance the License Manager, supporting critical licensing changes such as the integration of PVM Protect licenses.
• • Maintain and manage the critical internal Perc R&D infrastructure, encompassing source code management systems, bug reporting platforms, and nightly build and backup systems, ensuring operational continuity and data integrity.
• • Ensure the seamless and proper operation of custom Docker containers within the San Diego Data Center, contributing to a robust and scalable development environment.
• • Drive business development initiatives by actively engaging with defense industry organizations, monitoring market trends, and identifying new opportunities for Perc products.
• • Foster strong collaborations with PTC Federal Aerospace & Defense teams to identify and cultivate relationships with key defense technology contacts, expanding market reach.
• • Proactively identify and develop strategic partnerships to enhance the marketability of Perc products through integration and co-marketing efforts with complementary partner solutions.
• • Define and manage the long-term product strategy, detailed roadmaps, and precise release schedules for the Perc product line, aligning with market demands and company objectives.
• • Nurture and maintain strong partner relationships to ensure the continued success and satisfaction of current and future mutual customers.
• • Partner with the marketing team to develop compelling product positioning, conduct thorough competitive analysis, articulate clear value propositions and feature benefits, and create engaging demos, release announcements, promotional content, webinars, and support trade show events.
• • Assist in staffing marketing events for CPG Developer Tools products, representing PTC and engaging with potential customers and partners.
• • Cultivate and build long-term, trusted relationships with the technical teams of Perc customers, serving as a reliable point of contact and expert.
• • Ensure the timely and effective resolution of customer issues, directly contributing to maximized customer satisfaction and sustained Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) growth.
• • Monitor the status of support cases, strategically assign them to appropriate resources, and review and enhance knowledge base articles to improve self-service support.
• • Create and maintain essential product tutorials and technical notes, empowering users and reducing support load.
• • Actively monitor active product evaluators, providing dedicated assistance to sales representatives in navigating and resolving customer situations.
• • Become a recognized and trusted subject matter expert on industry trends and best practices, particularly in the development of Java-based real-time embedded systems.
• • Provide robust pre-sales support to sales teams, including delivering compelling product demonstrations, answering complex technical questions, and contributing to RFP responses.
• • Represent PTC at key industry events, such as Embedded World and MOSA Summit, presenting technical insights, driving lead generation, and gathering crucial market requirements.
• • Collaborate with sales to guide customers through upgrade paths and support smooth transitions to new product releases, ensuring continued adoption and satisfaction.
