📋 Description
- • Join Coinbase, a leader in the cryptocurrency space, and contribute to our mission of increasing economic freedom globally by building the future of the financial system.
- • As a Senior Manager, Strategic Operations within the Physical Security (PhySec) team, you will be a pivotal Direct Report Individual (DRI) responsible for bridging PhySec's strategic objectives with the broader Security & Privacy (S&P) organization and company-wide priorities.
- • This role demands a strategic thinker who can translate complex security initiatives into measurable business outcomes, ensuring alignment with company goals and demonstrating clear return on investment.
- • You will be instrumental in developing and scaling operating systems, including robust reporting frameworks, service catalogs, key performance indicators (KPIs), and governance structures, to provide consistent executive-level visibility into physical security risks, incidents, and operational capacity.
- • A core responsibility involves evaluating the risk and return profile of the entire Physical Security portfolio, informing critical decisions regarding headcount, budget allocation, and vendor strategy with clear recommendations for scaling, maintaining, or discontinuing initiatives.
- • You will lead and drive the cross-functional execution of intricate, multi-region initiatives, collaborating closely with S&P program managers and various stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and integration.
- • A forward-thinking approach is essential, as you will be tasked with identifying and implementing opportunities for AI and automation to streamline manual processes, enhance operational efficiency, and increase overall leverage within the team.
- • You will own the strategic planning process for Physical Security, including the development of Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), and Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs), ensuring seamless integration with S&P and company-wide strategic planning cycles.
- • Your work will involve translating physical security efforts into quantifiable business impacts, risk-adjusted investment proposals, and integrated Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) that are accurately reflected in enterprise-wide dashboards and reporting systems.
- • You will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable operational frameworks that ensure consistent executive oversight of risk posture, incident management, and resource allocation.
- • The role requires a deep understanding of business-level risk management, including the ability to quantify risk and return, align investments with the enterprise risk appetite, and articulate complex trade-offs to senior leadership, even when faced with incomplete data.
- • You will champion operational excellence by designing and scaling OKRs, QBRs, KRIs, dashboards, and governance models (e.g., P/PS, RAPIDs) within high-stakes, dynamic environments.
- • Exceptional executive communication skills are paramount, enabling you to craft clear, concise written and verbal narratives that effectively convey risk, impact, and necessary decisions to senior stakeholders.
- • You will demonstrate strong program and portfolio leadership, driving the successful completion of multi-quarter, cross-functional projects and managing multiple concurrent programs and stakeholder groups.
- • A key aspect of this role is the ability to influence without direct authority, aligning teams, enforcing standards, and driving behavioral change across diverse groups, including senior individual contributors, managers, and cross-functional partners.
- • You will be expected to leverage generative AI tools and copilots responsibly in your daily workflows, continuously adapt to evolving technologies, and apply human-in-the-loop practices to ensure business-ready outputs that drive measurable improvements in efficiency, cost, and quality.
- • This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the strategic direction of Physical Security at a leading global technology company, impacting the safety and security of its people and assets.
- • You will work in a fast-paced, intense environment that values high performance, continuous learning, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- • Collaboration with a high-caliber team of professionals across various security and privacy disciplines will be a daily occurrence, fostering a culture of shared learning and mutual growth.
- • The position is remote-first within the USA, with expectations for in-person participation in company-wide offsites and team events throughout the year to foster collaboration and alignment.
