  • • Lambda Inc., a trailblazer in AI cloud infrastructure, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting to join our dynamic team in San Jose. As a leader serving tens of thousands of customers ranging from AI researchers to enterprises and hyperscalers, Lambda is on a mission to make compute as ubiquitous as electricity and empower everyone with the power of superintelligence. This pivotal role will be instrumental in shaping our financial reporting and accounting practices as we continue our rapid growth and prepare for future milestones.
  • • This position requires a significant presence in our San Jose or San Francisco office, with a designated remote work day on Tuesdays. You will be a key player in ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and strategic alignment of our financial statements and reporting processes.
  • • **IPO & Financial Reporting Leadership:** You will take a leading role in preparing for and supporting our S-1 filing. This includes the meticulous drafting and comprehensive review of financial statements, Management's Discussion and Analysis (MD&A), and footnotes, all in strict adherence to SEC regulations and U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Legal, and Investor Relations, to ensure that our financial reporting narrative seamlessly integrates with the overall story presented in the S-1. Furthermore, you will be the primary point of contact for auditors, valuation specialists, and legal counsel, facilitating smooth and efficient audit readiness. Post-IPO, you will own the end-to-end process for preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, including 10-K and 10-Q filings. This will also involve supporting non-GAAP reconciliations, critical key metrics reporting, and the preparation of investor-facing disclosures.
  • • **Technical Accounting & Policy Development Excellence:** A core responsibility will be the preparation and maintenance of robust technical accounting memos that provide clear support for audits and SEC reviews. You will play a crucial role in supporting our Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) 404(a) readiness efforts by identifying areas for improvement, enhancing documentation, and strengthening key internal controls over financial reporting. You will be responsible for developing, updating, and implementing accounting policies and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance with U.S. GAAP and evolving regulatory landscapes.
  • • **Process Improvement & Team Development:** You will contribute significantly to the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring the consistent and accurate application of established accounting policies. A key aspect of this role involves partnering with various cross-functional teams to thoroughly evaluate and document the accounting implications of new contracts and emerging business initiatives. You will be a driving force in identifying opportunities to enhance accounting processes, fortify internal controls, and champion automation where feasible to increase efficiency and accuracy. Staying abreast of new Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) guidance will be essential, and you will be tasked with recommending practical and effective implementation approaches. You will also provide expert guidance and mentorship to team members on complex technical accounting matters, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. Finally, you will support ad-hoc projects and other critical accounting or reporting initiatives as they arise, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to business needs.
  • • This role offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of financial reporting for a rapidly scaling AI infrastructure company, contributing directly to our success and transparency in the public markets. You will be part of a talented team dedicated to innovation and excellence, working in a fast-paced environment that values curiosity, proactivity, and a commitment to achieving ambitious goals.
